I am going to complain a little this week.
I am really starting to feel overwhelmed, I am taking three online classes this semester. Which by the way doesn't sound like a lot, but with my schedule it is.
Just to give you an idea of how my week goes.
Everyday I get up at 7:00, get the kids ready and take them to school. Pick up my mom and step dad take one to work one to my great grandmas, (my mom takes are of her during the day.) Then I go to work. I work until 5:00, then work my way back the same way I came. Picking up everyone. Then I come home cook dinner, eat help the kids with their homework, and then when I am lucky I work on my homework. This is what I do on Tuesdays. On Mondays my youngest son has boy scouts at 6:30 so I don't get to my homework on Mondays very often. On Wednesdays my stepson has boy scouts at 7:00. So Wednesdays are pretty much taken also. Then on Thursdays me and my husband have our Internet business that we have meeting for every Thursday from 8:00 until 10:30. So there goes Thursday.
Keep in mind that we are both work full time, we both have three online classes and we are doing our own business. Plus boy scouts, my daughter is in band, and my oldest son is in drama class.
So as you might be able to tell we are pretty much booked every hour of every day. I get to read my history and English on my lunch break while I eat. Which a times can be pretty hard to sit in your car and eat and read at the same time. When I have papers due or quizzes to take I usually have to do them after the kids go to bed around 9:30 to 10:00.
The main reason I am feeling overwhelmed is because my math class I am about three weeks behind in the assignments. So I am trying to play catch up. Which is challenging considering that the main time I have to do this is late at night. Sometimes on the weekends I am free from everything else to do it then.
Anyway If anyone out there has anything that might be helpful feel free to let me know.

I don't know how to help with the workload, but with the feeling overwhelmed? Yeah, I can tell you what kind of works for me. Sit down with your coffee--or whatever you do first thing--with a pad of paper and a pencil or pen. Sketch out a rough to-do list, and cross things off as you go.
ReplyDeleteIt helps because you don't have something sneak up on you and bite you in the backside, AND you feel like you really accomplished things when you see the amount of crossed-off items growing.
