Melanie Hain and her husband Scott and her husband were both found shot in their home. The police stated that they do not believe that there was another person involved in the incident but they are not saying if it was a murder-suicide. Information from the 911 call shows that it took swat teams over an hour to gain entry into the house. When they got inside they found both husband and wife dead.
The couples three children had taken refugee at a neighbors house while the incident was going on. All three were unharmed. In September 2008 Melanie had gotten a lot of attention when she had toted a loaded gun to a child's soccer game. She had later lost her permit to carry a gun from the sheriff. Melanie's attorney said that about four months ago she had came to him and told him that she and Scott were separating.
I think this is a tragedy on the part of the kids. They are now without parents, and for what reason? Was their lives really so bad that they needed to die? I just don't understand how any parent could be so selfish as to take their own lives when they have children that need them. How can anyone leave their kids behind in the world?
I guess this is hard for me to comprehend. I could never imagine the GOD would give me too much that I would feel the need to leave my kids behind like that. I love my kids more than that. I want to be here for when they have kids, and see them grow up. I guess that I see suicide as a cop out. It is just a way to leave all your problems on someone else's shoulders.

Suicide is one of the most selfish acts a person can do; especially a parent. Unfortunately we are not allowed to decide weather or not a person needs to be spayed or neutered. Anyone want to start a petition? It is very sad that this sort of thing happens though.
ReplyDeleteFor whatever reason these murder suicides are becoming more prevolent. I agree with you that it is sad that people come up with a suicide as a solution to their problems.
