Orange County, FL-Casey Anthony's lawyer is fighting against the death penalty. Her attorney is saying that because of the undetermined death of two year old Caylee prosecutors should not be allowed to use the death penalty. Caylee's body was found a year ago in a swampy vacant lot, her body was partially burned and she had duct tape over her mouth and nose.
Casey Anthony sobbed while her lawyer fought for her. Casey's parents were interviewed and they have both said that they believe that their daughter is innocent. The prosecutors have said that in the state of Florida anyone who is charged with first degree murder can face the death penalty.
When I read this story I remembered hearing about it. I was in disbelief I am unsure of this mothers innocence or guilt. I would like to think that she is not guilty of doing something so horrible to her daughter, but I am also well aware of the way people are now. The prosecutors obviously believe that she did do it.
It also said that they believe that Casey kept her daughters body in the trunk of her car for a few days before dumping her. If that is the truth then she is a very sick person and needs a lot of mental help. I hope for that families sake that she did not do this to her daughter.
