Time To Freak Out

I am freaking out this semester. I have only online classes. I took three classes this semester, which I had thought were easier classes. According to a student adviser that signed me up for my classes the history and Math classes that I took were the easiest ones. Well guess what they are not!

I am doing okay in history I guess, just need to figure out how to retain more of the hundred or so pages that I have to read for each quiz every two weeks. So that class doesn't concern me as bad as the math class that I am in. This class is of course the third one. I don't mind this class too much it is hard sometimes but, I am getting by pretty good. At least in this class and the history class I understand what I am doing or need to do.

The math class is what is killing me!!! I took math 131 because I was told it was easier than 130. Well I took the midterm and the results was not pretty. I spend two hours just to do 9 homework problems. TWO HOURS!!!! I am horrible at math, so it is hard for me to understand why an x is considered some crazy number. Why can't they just put numbers in the problems? And why do I need to know how to graph these crazy things? What will I ever need to graph? I am thinking business management, not math major!!

I am getting so far behind and I cannot seem to comprehend this stuff. I am trying to find a tutor for math 131 if anyone out there knows anyone who can help. What makes this even harder is I am working full-time, and school of course, then to top it off me and my husband have an online business. Not to mention the fact that we have four kids and all of them are active in boy scouts, cub scouts, drama class, track, and now baseball.

I know that we are supposed to do an opinion piece so I think that this should be an opinion piece. In my opinion math is horrible and hard. If anyone reading this is a math major my hat is off to you. You have to really like math and numbers to be able to do it. So great job, congratulations. But as for me I am NO math major.
